Oxytetracycline has bacteriostatic effect by preventing of bacterial cell protein synthesis.
Part of oxytetracycline absorbed in digestive tract then attached with the blood protein by different percentages according to the animal spp. Then transmitted to all body tissues and organs especially liver and kidney and excreted by bile juice then to intestine and urine.
The rest of dose in still in digestive tract due to the effect of calcium, Aluminum, Iron, and sodium ions in ration will affected the intestinal bacteria.
Broad spectrum antibiotic against G-VE , G+VE , cholera , Coryza , Clostridium , Brucella , chlamydia , mycoplasma.
